Brampton Mill’s Stylish Refurbishment

We were lucky enough to get a sneak preview of the stunning new refurbished at Brampton Mill. Not only that, we also got to sample the new seasonal menu. It’s a tough job, but someone has to do it!

The refurbishment includes an extensive makeover of both the interior and exterior areas. The charm of the 500-year old pub has been retained with many of its original features, and of course, that eye-catching fully functioning mill wheel still takes pride of place. The new look is modern, stylish and contemporary, and has kept the same welcoming warmth, whether you’re visiting for a winter evening meal or a summer drink with friends.

The exterior reflects the recent upgrade and includes new garden furniture as well as an outdoor bar which would be perfect for those late summer evenings. You can still indulge in those beautiful riverside views, watching the world go by. And what better to accompany those views than a mouth-watering menu, packed full of freshly prepared dishes.

The menu includes a huge variety and offers a spot of seasonality. You can still order anything from a burger, mussels, BBQ chicken to a range of pizzas. Diners are spoilt for choice! We can highly recommend these starters: Scallops of the Day, Chargrilled Lamb Koftas, Lobster & King Prawn Pot and the Salt & Szechuan Pepper Squid. The mains didn’t disappoint either – we enjoyed the Wagyu Burger (with the addition of chorizo), Fillet and Rump Steak. Those with a sweeter palette would appreciate Pollo Americano Pizza.

The pièce de résistance has to be the dessert menu – still as extensive as before, but now includes a stunning Melting Chocolate & Peanut Bomb. Filled with sticky toffee pudding and peanut butter cream, served with a hot salted caramel sauce that seductively melts the bomb shell. Simply delicious. Love chocolate? We would also recommend trying the Chocolate & Raspberry Pudding. Or if you’re sweet tooth hasn’t kicked in, you can enjoy one of many cocktails from the menu and even personalise it with a range of fruit….or rose petals (cheers to that!). Also now available is a new range of low and no-alcohol drinks.

The new Brampton Mill really has aimed to cater for all. Their health and wellness theme is reflected in a new range of high protein, low calorie dishes, which includes a selection of meals all under 700 calories. Not only that, they now offer a menu dedicated to vegan meals – we loved the look of the Roasted Lentil Falafel, Spiced Coconut Curry and the Slow Roasted Tomato, Basil & Almond Bake.

Brampton Mill’s new and improved doors are now open, so don’t just take our word for it – go and sample the new menu for yourself.

Thanks Brampton Mill for a fabulous evening!
