Over the last week, all of you who employ people should have received notification of the information needed to claim back the cost of furloughing staff from the Government. The time is now to collect this information together, on a spreadsheet, and get ready for Monday 20th April. This date is important. It is the date that the government hub becomes available for you to put your claim in for repayment of furloughed individuals. It will be busy. Be persistent. The sooner you put in your claim, the quicker the money will be in your bank account. Remember – cash is king!

Brampton Mill’s Stylish Refurbishment

We were lucky enough to get a sneak preview of the stunning new refurbished at Brampton Mill. Not only that, we also got to sample the new seasonal menu. It’s a tough job, but someone has to do it!
The refurbishment includes an extensive makeover of both the interior and exterior areas. The charm of the 500-year old pub has been retained with many of its original features, and of course, that eye-catching fully functioning mill wheel still takes pride of place. The new look is modern, stylish and contemporary, and has kept the same welcoming warmth, whether you’re visiting for a winter evening meal or a summer drink with friends.
Post-Event Round Up – Love Food, Love Networking

Putting Meal Boxes to the Test

With convenience on the rise, people have less time to spend in the kitchen cooking up nutritious meals. As a result, meal kits have grown dramatically over the last few years and are predicted to grow even further in 2019 as consumers become time poor, yet want to ensure they are eating well. Brands such as Hello Fresh have been in the market the longest, but we have recently seen the explosion of meal kits from other brands, with Waitrose launching their version in 2018. With this rising trend, we thought it was time to review some home delivery meal kits, ranging from meat, vegetable and vegan based meals. Read on to see which dishes really impressed.
