Delicious Products, Exquisite Cheeses & Networking – What an incredible event

What a wonderful way to enjoy a cold winter’s night. Last night saw 40 guests gather online to chat about all things cheese, food, drink and the food industry. 

Having taken our event online it is so wonderful in the build up to the evening see the post about the boxes of goodies that are sent. The Boxes have taken our famous Grub Club bags to a whole new level. 

Perry - Rennt & Rind


The evening started with a cheese tasting with Perry Wakeman from Rennet & Rind and Charlie Turnbull from Delishops. It was great to learn so much about three cheeses:

Spenwood  |   Sparkenhoe Vintage   |   Shropshire Blue

Cheese is never just cheese and to hear about the extra care and time the team at Rennet & Rind give to the cheeses to create even greater flavour profiles is really exciting. 

We then enjoyed four sessions of networking and tasting the amazing products that had been supplied in our boxes from:

What is so wonderful about tasting products in this way is that everyone had views and got to taste products they have never tasted before. When so many events are not happening the Grub Club Events offer producers a showcase to show off their products to new consumers and potential new stockists. As so many people said last night, food and drink have become a real occasion over the lockdown chapter, we are all seeking out new tastes, experiences and opportunities to create and enjoy something new and different. 

Needless to say, we all left the event, full, knowledgeable and looking forward to the next one. We hope you can join us for that one.
