French Fire Bread & Meat Balls at Amelie
Join us for the last event of 2019 where we will discover the delights of Flam-Kuche (French Fire Bread) at the wonderful Amelie in the Grafton Centre, Cambridge and enjoy a talk from The Guild of Fine Food.
We will enjoy a French sparkling wine as we arrive, followed by:
Home-made hummus and flatbread
Three Flam-Kuche variations: The authentic, Spinach and Ricotta, The Meatball special
Redberry dessert
Amelie is a new fast-casual eatery and the first restaurant in the UK dedicated to serving Flam-kuche – a dish, created in the 14th century in the Alsace region of France. This light, fresh thin bread dough is spread with crème fraiche and a selection of delicious topping combinations before being cooked for 1.5 minutes to retain all the fresh flavours.
On the night we will be raising money and awareness of Meatballs for Muscles (hence the Meatball special Flam-Kuche)! This incredible charity is aiming to deliver 657 Muscle Dreams for children and young people with Muscular Dystrophy. That’s one life-changing experience for every muscle in the human body.
