Hidden by Puddini Supper Club

The team behind popular Puddini Caterers have launched a supper club which will focus on showcasing the best of local produce, with an emphasis on sourcing as much from on their doorstep as possible.  

The Supper Club, known as Hidden by Puddini, takes place in the understated HQ of Puddini, in a bespoke new restaurant space with views overlooking the wonderful Cambridgeshire countryside.  This team of foodies continue their ethos of creating food memories by delivering fresh, generous tasty food that changes with the seasons. The magic is in the burst of flavour and small details on the plate that have become so synonymous with their cooking and presentation style over the years. 

We had the pleasure of dining at a recent supper club and were impressed by the attention to detail, personal service and the passion that the team shared.  This is a space to relax, chill out with friends and family and really enjoy both familiar and global flavours. The tasting style menu features 4 courses with an Italian twist.  

We dined on freshly baked focaccia followed by sweet and mouthwatering vine ripened tomato tart. The tomatoes were grown within a few miles of the restaurant. This was followed by Thai spiced crab with butternut squash and coconut, truly authentic in flavour and texture due to chef Ben Sulston’s time spent cooking and living in Asia. This was truly a plate that transported you to the coast of Thailand in a mouthful.  Yum! A scrumptious melt in the mouth rump and shoulder of lamb came next, the quality of which you don’t find often. The flavour and texture was incredible. It would not have been out of place in a Michelin star setting. 

Finally dessert was a raspberry and almond tart with the most wonderful strawberry ice-cream accompaniment, made with roasted strawberries.  A perfect end to the meal. 

The wine and prosecco list was created in collaboration with NY Wines in Shelford. Wylde Skye and Cambridge Brewery beers are also available as well as Cambridge Gin and other delicious spirits and drinks. 

Hidden by Puddini will provide an opportunity for people to come together and meet over delicious food and wine knowing they are supporting local producers and farmers. And as we head to the Christmas season it offers a great choice for special occasions and gift ideas. 

This supper club gets our thumbs up, and we can’t wait for our next food experience there!
