Networking at Stem & Glory

What an amazing evening we had at Stem & Glory this May as part of Eat Cambridge where we indulged in the most delicious gourmet free-from menu. We knew it was going to be tasty as soon as we walked in, as we were greeted by the most amazing aromas. As ever, the attendees were a lovely mix of new faces and regular attendees, which always makes for great conversation and networking opportunities.
The evening started with some beautiful beer poured and served by Dick from the fabulous Nene Valley Brewery. Needless to say, these went down extremely well. To experience the full collection of cask, keg, bottled and canned beers that Nene Valley Brewery have to offer, why not try their restaurant Tap & Kitchen at Oundle Wharf.
After a welcome from Jim at Stem & Glory and an introduction to his staff, we enjoyed a delicious selection of starters. Attendees chose from Gem Salad, Raw Japanese Nori Rolls or Kimich Pancakes.
Between the starter and main course, we heard from our lovely event sponsor, Julie from Roythornes Solicitors who enlightened us with an informative talk on the dreaded GDPR. Hopefully, she set minds at rest or answered those last niggly questions or concerns we had.
Our vegan main course was just as delicious as the starter. We chose from: Luxury Gluten Free Lasagne, slow roasted aubergine and squash in rich tomato & basil sauce with finely roasted celeriac sheets, cashew béchamel. Served with salad of the day & pesto garlic cracker, The Stem & Glory Gourmet Burger or a Superfood Protein Plate.
And, we wrapped the evening up with a delicious choice of: Dark Chocolate Marquise, Raw Blueberry & Banana Cheese Cake or Blood Orange & Maple Upside-Down Cake.
We would like to thank Jim and all his hardworking staff at Stem & Glory who ensured the smooth running of the evening and who created such an amazing menu. We would also like to thank Dick from Nene Valley Brewery and Julie from Roythornes for their amazing support.
Following this wonderful evening we also heard the fantastic news that Stem & Glory had won Best Restaurant in Cambridge at the British Restaurant Awards 2018. Well done and well deserved!
