What a way to start our networking year at the stunning recently refurbished Duxford Lodge. We were delighted to take over the wonderful venue for the evening. Welcoming 55 guests for the evening.

It was a delightful fizzy start to the evening as everyone enjoyed a glass of Cuvee from Saffron Grange, based a few miles away just outside Saffron Walden, it’s incredible to think they only launched their first wine to the market in the second half of 2019!

We were so pleased to see so many new faces and people traveling far and wide to attend this event. There is nothing more rewarding than watching your guests chatting, sharing information, making connections and having fun.

The talented team at Duxford Lodge served us a delicious three-course meal and the evening was topped off by our incredible guest speaker Adrian Boswell from Selfridges.  It was great to hear the story around his 19-year long career at Selfridges. He shared lots of useful advice and guidance then opened up the floor to questions.  We think all that attended, gained so many great insights and pieces of information.

Adrian was also kind enough to divulge the key areas he is looking at the moment, including: Vegan, Gut health, CBD, Honey, Meat alternatives and UK Rums.

Adrian also shared the top three things he is looking for in a product:
1. Quality – is the product good enough
2. Ethical and sustainability
3. Technical allergens, labelling and Nutrition
