Pizza, Pots & Pints take over the Carpenters Arms
- posted in: Blog, Uncategorized

A couple of weeks ago we headed to the Carpenters Arms in Cambridge, which is now a buzzing hub for Pizza, Pots and Pints! As soon as you walk through the doors you are struck with their fun, quirky interior. All their pubs are themed around the old pub names, and being the Carpenters Arms, we are hit visually with all things carpenter related, tools an’ all!
The reclaimed wood, vintage tiles and hand written signs, give the pub a really warm welcoming atmosphere. When you walk towards the back of the building you are met with the large pizza oven, firing up over in the corner, which is great to see! The oven here, unlike some of their other venues, was actually salvaged from what already stood on site!
We ordered some super tasty pizzas, an Aloha (pulled ham hock, mozzarella & caramelised pineapple) and a Pesky (anchovies, mozzarella, capers & olives) with a side of ratatouille. They only had a launch menu on that evening, of just the pizzas, but we can’t wait to try the baked aubergine & falafel pot (which is vegan) and i’ve heard good things about the mac’n’cheese! The menu seems varied, with options for all eaters, if you fancy trying something slightly different or sticking with the trusty Margot (buffalo mozzarella & basil).
That evening we had to drive to the pub, and I would say that parking can be slightly tricky around that part of Cambridge, with a lot of it being residential or yellow lines, after some driving around you will find a spot, but just make time!
Great friendly staff, and we look forward to heading back for a pint again soon!
