September Event Round Up


What a fantastic evening we had at Bohemia in St Neots last Thursday, celebrating British Food Fortnight and our 4th Birthday. We devoured the 10-course British inspired tapas menu and sipped on a delightful Roundwood Gin as we networked with like-minded food-related businesses at our first ever standing event!!

What a very special venue we picked for our Birthday Bash this year. James and Ashley were truly fantastic hosts and indeed all the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming.

We started the evening off with a delightful Roundwood gin, served by co-founders Emily & Rupert. The gin was inspired by walks round and round the enchanting Wennington woodland, part of the De Ramsey Estate just outside of Abbots Ripton. Needless to say this gin, with its Angelica root and Orange peel botanicals, went down a treat with all attendees.


The 10-course British inspired tapas started off with a delicious paper boat loaded with fish, chips and tartar sauce. Swiftly followed by an incredible roast beef stuffed Yorkshire pudding, bubble and squeak with black pudding, Smoked salmon bellini, Pigs in blankets,  Cheese and pickle bruschetta, red onion and goats cheese filo parcel, pea quiche, mini Victoria sponge & mini mince tart


Between courses, we heard from the lovely Bill Sinclair of Sinclair Taylor Management Services who discussed with us the process of debt recovery. This was a very insightful and incredibly useful topic for the SME’s and freelancers amongst us. Bill provided some very sound advice and will no doubt have picked up some clients along the way.


We were thrilled to see a lot of new faces throughout the evening, and it appears everyone really enjoyed the Standing event. We may continue it in the future.
