The East of England Business Champion Awards

Tuesday 20th October saw Grub Club Cambridge excitedly head to the award ceremony for The East of England Business Champion Awards, held at Woburn Centre Parcs, also part of the Bedfordshire Business Expo.

We were delighted to be in the final for Networking Group of the Year, having only just celebrated our 1st Birthday at Burwash Larder, and only days before winning Best Networker at the Best Business Women Awards.

The afternoon began at 1 pm with drinks on arrival. We were joined by Simon George of The Hertfordshire Business Independent Magazine, lovely Grub Clubbers Stephen & Lyndsey of Pinksters Gin, who were up for Best New Business. Our friends Longcroft Cat Hotel joined us on our table as we settled down to lunch and then the ceremony.

We couldn’t believe it when we heard our name called – We won! Joint winners of Networking Group of the Year along with The Athena Network!

It turned out to be a winning table, with Pinksters Gin winning Best New Business and the Overall East of England Business Champion!
