We interviewed Heidi White, our incredible 2015 Cambridge Food Hero, to find out why Grub Club Cambridge works for her…

Who are you and what is your business?

I write The Moving Foodie Blog and my business is foodPark – the city’s street food collective and organiser of street food markets and events. I also organise the annual Eat Cambridge festival

What delicious foodie treats do you supply?

I like to think I bring together the best of our region’s foodie treats! foodPark is the place to sample the best street food in the city, and our local independent traders can be found out and about at foodPark’s lunch markets and events every week Tuesday to Saturday. The Eat Cambridge festival is a wonderful event held every May to showcase and celebrate independent food and drink in the Cambridge area. It features a really delicious list of food and drink businesses, stallholders, fringe event hosts, and other exciting foodie things going on in the city.

Why have you enjoyed attending Grub Club Cambridge?

It’s a great place to meet new and hang out with existing food and drink contacts.

What has been the most rewarding benefit of attending?

Catching up with other food and drink professionals, which I don’t often get the chance to do due to being self-employed and super busy all the time. I always leave feeling that I’ve had the chance to socialise and network with like-minded people in a very positive environment.

Why would recommend attending a Grub Club Cambridge event?

Spending an evening talking about food and drink, and sampling great food and drink, is always a winner in my book and makes for a relaxed alternative to traditional networking events.
