Wasabi, Cambridge

We’re a little late in posting this blog, sorry Grub Clubbers! It’s been a crazy few weeks here.
Vhari and I were delighted to have been invited to the VIP opening of Wasabi in Cambridge. The fabulous glass fronted store just on the corner of Petty Curry, opened it’s doors on the 18th June to a huge line of over 120 people, excitedly queuing for the chance to win free sushi for the year.
We were lucky to be invited to the pre launch held the evening before in the restaurant seating area above the store. The space is fantastic, light, airy and very modern. The neon green wall and lighting work really well, coupled with the great window views over the city.
We tucked into delicious sushi. Salmon & masago roll and salmon nigiri being my favourites. There’s also a hot food selection including Chicken teriyaki yakisoba bento, Chicken katsu curry bento and many more favourites.
Vhari not being a huge fan of fish was not deterred, there is a vast selection of delicious vegetarian options such as cucumber or avocado hosomaki, Japanese omelette nigiri, Tofu nigiri, and a good selection of salads too.
Thank you Wasabi Cambridge for a great launch event, this is a lovely addition to the Cambridge food scene and we’ll certainly be back soon!
