We had a Gin-tastic time

This September we celebrated our 5th birthday and British Food Fortnight in style at the Cambridge Distillery showroom in Grantchester with delicious food from Provenance Kitchen’s Airstream. It’s hard to believe that we have been bringing food business together for 5 years! Over that period we estimate we have connected over 6,000 people at our events.

The celebration started with a welcome G&T from the Cambridge Distillery. Gin is always a great way to start the introductions as people arrive and the Cambridge Dry Gin was enjoyed by all. It truly is a gin for all seasons, wonderfully fresh and crisp, finished with a sprig of mint.  The Cambridge Distillery Showroom was the perfect venue, located next door to the distillery and is used to host a huge variety of interactive experiential events.

Throughout the evening, as we all got acquainted, we enjoyed a delicious array of British foodie delights from Provenance Kitchen.  Kate and her team really do create the most amazing food which is always thoroughly enjoyed by the attendees.

Between courses Adam, Co-Founder of Joe & Seph’s popcorn shared his passion for their family business.  We heard how the business idea was conceived, from their first sell-out trade show, all the way through to their partnership successes and award-winning achievements, no less than 49 Great Taste Awards!  It was an inspirational story of passion from a family who continue to work hard creating great products.

We also announced that we have teamed up with Charlie Turnball and Deli Shops to launch a Grub Club Hub to offer a wonderful platform for producers to share their delicious products with retailers across the region and beyond. If you want more details please get in touch.

In short, it was a wonderful celebration of food and drink, with everyone leaving with our famous goodie bags thanks so much to Kale and Damson for our delicious apples, Brindisa for our Gazpacho and The Gog for our £5.00 voucher.
